The most important thing to know is that we are not a grocery store. We carry no inventory at all, we are your personal shopper. This is a big advantage to our clients as it means that we're not trying to push poor quality, expired or nearly expired products out our doors. We go around to numerous stores on the island to fill your order (an average $500US order takes up to 10 stops to fill.) When we shop we look for the best quality, best prices and check expiry dates to make sure you get the best you deserve. We know which stores to buy perishable items from as we keep an eye on the movement of stock and the quality of the equipment used to store the items.
There are grocery stores on the island that offer limited delivery but do you really know what the quality of the item is that you're buying? If you shop for yourself and have the items delivered, how long did those items sit in a cardboard box before they were delivered to you? All of our perishable items are immediately transported to our high quality fridges and freezers for storage, when it's time for delivery they go into high quality coolers to ensure that the items remain as fresh and as cold as they were in the store itself. If the store does the shopping for you do they select the best possible items?
How does it work? All you need to do is to go to our website prior to your arrival in Belize, download and fill out an
order form (over 1000 selections and counting) and e-mail it back to us. From that point on you just relax, no worry about
running around town grocery shopping after a long day of travel or a
day wasted when you could be exploring the island. Everything will be waiting for your arrival. When you arrive you'll find a delivery list detailing all the items you've ordered allowing you to confirm that you've received everything you ordered. Once we've delivered your order we check EVERY price against the amount you paid, revise the prices and send you a detailed listing of the original prices vs. the revised prices via e-mail.
Isn't it cheaper to shop for ourselves? Maybe! If you shop for yourself you'll either need to rent a golf cart or hire a taxi to drive you around and then there's the cost and hassle of getting your purchases to your rental unit. If you ever get the chance to see our delivery staff in action you'll know just how hard a job that can be. Unless you've visited Ambergris Caye many times you may also find yourself in one of the more expensive shops, which in itself could make the difference in the cost of our services.
Substitutions?
If a requested item is not available we will substitute for an item
of similar quality and price unless requested otherwise.
What do you mean by market price? Prices change at the grocery stores on an almost daily basis and although we strive to keep our price list up to date there are always discrepancies in price. If there is a ridiculous increase in price we won't purchase the item and will let you know why. If there is a decrease in price those savings are passed on to you. If an item is unavailable we will try to substitute but if we can't you get a refund.

your vacation? A little surprise perhaps? Just
let us know what you have in mind and we'll do our best to take care of it
for you. We
try to keep as many commonly available items as possible on our order form
but day to day availability on most products means that sometime we never
know what items might cross our paths. With
that in mind, if you ask for it we'll look for it and if the price and
quality are reasonable we'll purchase it for you. If we can't find an item
we'll let you know.
